One dead, three injured in shooting in Gautier

Gautier, MS — The Gautier Police Department responded to a reported shooting at approximately 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the College Villa Apartments located at 2726 Ladnier Road.

Preliminary investigation indicates that an altercation occurred inside one of the apartments, during which multiple shots were fired.

Three individuals inside the apartment sustained gunshot wounds, and a fourth person in a neighboring apartment was struck by a bullet that traveled through a wall.

Two victims were transported by ambulance, and two others were taken to local hospitals by private vehicle for medical treatment.

Sadly, one of the victims—an 18-year-old male from Gautier—later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The remaining victims include a 15-year-old male from Gautier, an 18-year-old male from Ocean Springs, and a 31-year-old female from Gautier.

Their names are not being released at this time. Investigators believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the general public.

The Gautier Police Department is actively working to identify and apprehend the suspects responsible.
