One dead, one injured in shooting on Fernwood Road in Biloxi

One man is dead and another injured in a shooting that happened Thursday evening in Biloxi.

Police were sent to the 2000 block of Fernwood Road about 6:43 p.m. regarding a person with a gun. While en route, additional calls came in — first for shots fired, then for a person being shot.

When officers arrived, they found two men suffering gunshot wounds. Pafford Emergency Services rendered aid at the scene and took both men to a hospital, where one was pronounced dead. The other man is being treated.

Police have a person of interest in the case.
