One Dead, One in Custody After Late Night Shooting

One man is dead and another is in custody after a shooting in Pass Christian late Sunday night.

Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson says 19 year old David Ryals is accused of shooting Blake Carroll around 11 p.m. Sunday on Sap Root Road.  The victim was flown to USA Medical Center, but died in the hospital around 4 a.m. Monday morning.

Ryals was originally charged with aggravated assault.  Those charges are now expected to be upgraded to murder.
