Victim identified after multi-vehicle crash in Jackson County

On Monday, May 20, 2024, at approximately 6 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Interstate 10 in Jackson County.

A 2016 Western Star semi-truck driven by 53-year-old Paul Fredrick Wilson of Saint Hedwig, TX, traveled east on Interstate 10 when it collided with a 2024 Audi passenger car, also traveling east.

The 2016 Western Star semi-truck then crossed the center median and collided with a 2000 Freightliner semi-truck driven by traveling west on Interstate 10.

Paul Wilson received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. This crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
