One arrested, one wanted on aggravated assault charges in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- One man is behind bars and another is wanted after a shooting in Jackson County.

Thirty-two-year-old Glen Barton was arrested on one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Forty-six-year-old Christopher Landry is wanted on an active warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says his whereabouts are currently unknown.

The incident began when Jackson County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of a shooting near North 19th Street and Pickering Forrest Drive in Gulf Park Estates.

When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered that 47-year-old Nathan Lee had sustained two gun shot wounds after a fight. Lee was transported to the hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.

During the course of the investigation, Barton and Landry were identified as the two suspects.
