Olympic gold medalist and Gulfport high school alum Brittney Reese announces partnership with TrackTown USA

Former Gulfport Admiral and Olympic gold medalist Brittney Reese continues to pour back into the community that raised her.

Recently, Reese announced a partnership with TrackTown USA to help support the next generation of track and field athletes.

Reese brought home a gold medal in long jump during the 2012 summer Olympics in London. While her competing days are over, now she is doing her part in growing the sport.

“High school track and field has actually grown over the years and is, kind of, right now the most participated sport in the United States,” said Reese. “So we are trying to capitalize on that and grab the youth, get them more involved in sports, and getting them to enjoy it.”
