Ole Miss turning the page from ugly loss to Alabama

Disregarding the fact that even coming off a national championship, Alabama looks like a totally different monster this year, Ole Miss isn’t ducking the disappointment of Saturday’s 62-7 loss.

The Rebels showed some promise with a 75 yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage, but the rest of the game was a lot of roll tide rolling.

Sixty-two unanswered points did the Rebels in for their first loss of the season and their second straight week allowing more than 500 yards of total offense.

Head Coach Matt Luke says there have been darker days for the Ole Miss program and that there will be brighter days ahead. “Any time that you’re dealt a disappointing loss the thing is well, we’ve been here before. I mean it’s not how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you can get back up and the resiliency to get up off the mat and go prepare. This is one of our 12 opportunities and we have the opportunity to be 3-1. They will fight back, and it’s good to be around them on Sunday. We watched the tape, we put it behind us and we moved forward. And now the focus is on Kent State and finding a way to win that game.”

Ole Miss and Kent State will kick things off from the Vaught at 11 a.m. Saturday.
