Ole Miss Rebels hold first destination team practice Wednesday morning

We are officially three days away from the 2023 Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, where the Ole Miss Rebels will take on the Nittany Lions of Penn State.

The highly anticipated matchup is set to take place on Saturday, December 30 at 11 AM at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Rebels arrived in the Peach State on Monday, and since then they’ve had a jam-packed schedule of events.

The Rebels had their first destination team practice this morning at Georgia Tech’s Brock Football Practice Facility.

Following their practice, the team had the life-changing opportunity of visiting the Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.

Players, coaches, and staff got to spend time with patients and families while playing games and signing autographs.

The players expressed their enjoyment at the Peach Bowl activities thus far, but overall the Rebels are in town for a business trip.

“They’ve been working extremely hard. Practices have been going well. The transition from Oxford to Atlanta has been really smooth,” said Pete Golding, Ole Miss’ defensive coordinator. “Coach Kiff has done a great job, and we’re excited for the opportunity to play a really elite Penn State team. I think it’s very balanced and they’re coached really well and it’s a great opportunity for our kids in front of a big crowd in a great bowl.”

“We’ve just got to make sure that every play that we hit, wrap, and run and just drive them back and gain tackles as a team,” said John Sanders Jr., Ole Miss’ safety. “Eleven hats to the ball every play and polish off the ball carrying every play.”

Also a part of the events, Ying Yang the Giant Panda at Zoo Atlanta predicted that Penn State will win the 2023 Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl game.

You’ll have to find out if he was right by watching ESPN Saturday at 11.
