Ole Miss looks to rechannel aggression

As far as coaching debuts go, Matt Luke’s went about as well as possible for about two and a half games. The Gulfport native led Ole Miss to a pair of wins to start 2017, but eventually ran into some trouble out west.
On Saturday, the Rebels took a 16-7 lead over Cal-Berkeley into halftime, but failed to score at all after the break. The Golden Bears scored the final 20 points of the game and put the nail in the coffin with a 32 yard pick six of sophomore Quarterback Shea Patterson.
The Rebels have an extra week to prepare for their week five road game at Alabama and Head Coach Matt Luke says they’re gonna try to rechannel their aggression in the process. “I do. I think that’s very, very important. I thought in the second half we were a little bit on our heels, and it’s important to me that we’re aggressive. I don’t think you can play on your heels against Alabama. You really have to focus on being aggressive and trying to dictate the tempo and I just thought in the second half we got a little bit on our heels. But again, just correcting the self-inflicted and removing the turnovers I think you win the football game, minus penalties and turnovers.”
It only gets harder from here on out for the Rebels who play back to back road games at Bama and Auburn following the bye.
