Ole Miss junior up for nation’s top wide receiver award

Last season, Ole Miss wide receiver AJ Brown earned the distinction as the state’s best player by winning the Conerly Trophy.

As for this year, he’s already been tabbed as the nation’s top wideout in at least one pre-season publication and now he’s officially on watch for that distinction as well.

Today, the rising junior was one of 50 players named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list after being tabbed as a semi-finalist in 2017.

During his sophomore campaign, the Starkville native set the Ole Miss single-season record for yards with more than 1,200 and tied the previous high mark with 11 touchdowns.

Brown also appeared on Monday’s Maxwell Award watch list going to America’s player of the year.
