Ole Miss football player Corey Adams killed in Tennessee shooting

An Ole Miss football player is dead after a shooting in Tennessee. It happened Saturday night in Cordova, a suburb of Memphis.

Detectives in the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office say Corey Adams was killed. He was a freshman player for the University of Mississippi.

Neighbors say a party was taking place in the community and some people showed up who were not invited.

Four other people were shot, but they are expected to recover.

It’s unclear what prompted the shooting. So far, no one is in custody.

Adams was a defensive lineman from New Orleans. He was 18-years-old.
