Old Highway 49 road closure extended in Gulfport

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The City of Gulfport issued an extended lane closure for Old Highway 49.

This closure affects the westbound lane of the area between Clark Road and Nugent Road.

The closure is for the installation of a new storm drain.

The eastbound lane in the area will remain open to ensure minimal disruption to residents and businesses.

The closure will run from September 19 to October 3 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.

All drivers in the area are asked to observe and follow traffic markers in the area.
