Old Harrison County skate park has new tenant

The former skate park on Debuys Road in Harrison County now has a new tenant.
The Harrison County Board of Supervisors chose Kickmaster Coast Athletic Club to lease the skate park by a unanimous decision.
Co-owner of Kickmaster Kevin Mattina explains the new facility will have soccer inflatables installed and have soccer and football camps for all ages. They plan to refurbish the tennis courts and install basketball goals and even have plans for foot-golf, where kids kick soccer balls on a soccer sized golf course.
Mattina plans to have approvals and refurbishments finished by July. “It’s going to be a tentative date for Fourth of July, but that’s what tentatively we want to have an open house and then have everyone come out for Fourth of July weekend and just kind of see what it’s about and then we’ll have some tournaments probably for that weekend if, obviously we have to go through that process, but that would be the most optimistic date for us.”
Mattina says the club will be open to all ages and hopes to have sports sign ups ready on their Facebook page sometime next week.
