Ohr O’Keefe Museum celebrating George Ohr with art festival
The Ohr O’Keefe Museum of Art invites you to celebrate southern art and culture on Saturday.
The museum is holding a birthday bash to celebrate the legacy of Mississippi artist George Ohr. At the festival you can try your hand at ceramics, shop local craft vendors, and groove to the best music on the Coast.
The festival will take place at the Ohr O’Keefe Museum campus from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. In honor of George Ohr’s birthday, admission to the museum and the event will be free and open to the public.
Director of Public Relations and Marketing at the Ohr O’Keefe Museum of Art Molly Shea says attending the event is a great way to support your neighbors. “At the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art, we’re really interested in preserving culture and art in the south. What better way to support artists like George Ohr than supporting your neighbors right now. So, you can see all of the beautiful handiwork of Mississippi based artists, as well as a couple coming in from New Orleans at our vendor sale as well as our ceramic studio sale.”
