Ohr-O’Keefe hosts Valentine’s themed competition
Love was in the air earlier tonight at the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum for its monthly crafts and drafts competition.
The free to enter event offered guests an opportunity to show off their creative minds by crafting bouquets of flowers as well as Valentine’s Day cards.
Attendees were also able to get up in front of the crowd and show off their singing voice by doing some karaoke.
At the end of the night, several awards were given out to the crafters with some of the awards being secrets that were revealed at the end.
Food, chocolates, wine, and other drinks were sold at the event as well. Director of Ceramics Charlie Mabry said, “People are just having a great time so we love being able to bring people into this space that has so much potential, so much beautiful architecture, and really get them having fun.”
Director of Education Emily Brannan said, “It’s really great to see so many people here out at the museum, making art, crafting. We’re really excited to see what they come up with too.”
More than 50 guests showed up to the event to show their love in this crafty way.
