Officials discuss Portuguese man-o-wars washing up along the Coast

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Here’s something you may have noticed washing up on beaches along the Mississippi Coast: Portuguese man-o-wars.

While they might appear dead, they can still pack a sting if you touch one.

While it’s best to stay away, officials say if you happen to get stung, use vinegar, hot water, and seek additional medical attention.
