Officials cut the ribbon on the Long Beach Railroad Crossing Project

LONG BEACH, Miss. (WXXV)- MDOT and city officials have cut the ribbon to celebrate the completion of the railroad crossing improvement project over in Long Beach.

This railroad crossing grade improvement project was a first of its kind program for MDOT with the goal of improving railroad crossing safety throughout the city.

This project was funded thanks to the Federal Highway Administration’s railroad crossing safety program and administered through MDOT’s local public agency division.

The improved crossings include White Harbor Road, South Lang Avenue, Trautman Avenue, Girard Avenue, Cleveland Avenue, Nicholson Avenue, Beach Park Dr., and Richards Avenue.
