Officials cut the ribbon on the Harrison County Advocacy Center
Connecting the unconnected, officials cut the ribbon on the Harrison County Advocacy Center Tuesday.
All under one roof, a space to bridge the gap and bring resources to Harrison County, the center assesses individual needs and coordinates services free of charge.
Offering services to seniors, veterans, children, and families and educational classes, there are a wide range of resources available. Harrison County Advocacy Center Program Liaison Jeannie Herrin said, “You don’t have to go here. You don’t have to go there. It’s a one stop shop for the community and we’re hoping that you will take advantage of what the board of supervisors has created for Harrison County. So come on down. A lot of people don’t realize that Harrison County has a lot of resources to offer and this is a facility. Come join us.”
The center is located behind Pass Road Elementary in Gulfport.
