Officer saves turtle in the rain in Gulfport

A bystander in the right place at the right time witnessed a Naval Construction Battalion Police Officer stopping in the rain to help a stranded turtle.
Around 9:35 a.m., Master at Arms Seaman Kyno Wilbon was patrolling Blue Heron Way when he saw a large snapping turtle in the road. The officer braved the heavy rains and ushered the turtle from the roadway, ensuring its safety from drivers.
When asked why he stopped to move the turtle, Wilbon said because he saw it there and felt like being a good Samaritan out of the goodness of his heart.
