Ocean Springs woman hit walking on Highway 90 in Gautier

An Ocean Springs woman died Wednesday night in a pedestrian-car accident on Highway 90.

Jackson County Coroner Bruce Lynd Jr. identified the woman as 60-year-old Minh Phuong-Thi Quach.

Lynd said a sedan hit Quach just before 11 p.m. while she walked in the eastbound lanes of Highway 90, not far from the Gautier Police Department.

The coroner said Quach die at the scene.

The driver who hit Quach stayed at the scene until first responders arrived. The incident is under investigation.
