Ocean Springs Volleyball receives mayoral proclamation following State Championship
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV) — The Ocean Springs Board of Aldermen and Mayor Bobby Cox celebrated the Ocean Springs state champion volleyball team with a proclamation at Tuesday’s city hall meeting.
Tuesday, October 21st, 2025 was proclaimed “Lady Greyhounds Volleyball State Champions Day,” honoring the program’s first-ever state title. The Lady Hounds finished the season with an overall record of 40 wins to just five losses and swept Madison Central in straight sets to capture the golden ball.
Team members include Taylor Douglas, Layla Daley, Claire Lebatard, River Schmidt, Maggie Noblitt, Alden St. Amant, Isabel Brown, Ryleigh Register, Baylor Edmiston, Jazzlyn Johnson, Lucy Longo, Lucy Pepper, Lilly Rutland, Rozlyn Vick and Anna Hoffmayer. They are coached by Christina Daigle, with assistant coaches Kaytie Rutland and Kristina Robinson.
