Ocean Springs Tree Committee Approves Plan to Remove Oak Tree
The city of Ocean Springs takes pride in the oak trees found throughout the city.
In March, the Ocean Springs Tree Committee approved the removal of two out of three trees on Bergerac Lane. Tonight, Michael Rahalski challenged the Board of Alderman to reconsider the committee’s recommendation and tear down the third tree as well. Rahalski has become too old to manage care for the tree on his own.
The Board of Alderman decided to overturn the committee’s recommendations and tear down the third tree, but a new tree must be planted somewhere else in the yard.
