Ocean Springs to vote on $52 million bond on Tuesday
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV) – OSSD has proposed a $52 million bond, which aims to address critical repairs and improvements to school campuses. This no-tax-increase bond proposal will not raise the current tax rate.
On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, voters residing within OSSD will have the opportunity to vote on the bond. Superintendent Michael Lindsey urges the community to turn out at the polls and vote.
Lindsey says “We want our students to be able to have a building that they can come to and have pride.”
The bond includes restructuring elementary schools to K-4, construction of a state-of-the-art middle school on our current upper elementary campus, critical infrastructure upgrades to all three elementary schools and the current middle school campus, and renovating the current middle school campus to convert it into a 5th and 6th-grade school.
