Ocean Springs Students Dance to “Thriller”

Michael Jackson’s hit “Thriller” is probably one of the top tracks on the radio on Halloween.
Today, a group of sixth grade zombies at Ocean Springs Upper Elementary School performed the song live. Over 100 of the school’s sixth graders practiced for a month before the performance.
Everything from controlling the curtains to choreographing the dance moves was carried out by students. Some of the students tell News 25 how it felt to take the stage. Sixth grader Cayman Taylor said, “I liked how we got to do dancing even if you weren’t a dancer. We still got to do it and it was really fun.”
Sixth grader Charlotte Knight said, “It was a bunch of different emotions bottled up in two minutes, but it was amazing.”
Sixth grader Meredith Miller said, “I thought it felt amazing because I don’t dance and I don’t do anything like that, but especially working with all these dancers and everyone else it was really amazing.”
“Thriller” is performed every year around Halloween at the school.
