Ocean Springs residents discuss potential development

Downtown Ocean Springs is known as one of the most scenic areas of the Mississippi Coast and many residents want to keep it that way.

Now developers are looking to capitalize on an influx of younger residents by building newer and housing that is more affordable than some other options in the city.

Most of this development is happening by Front Beach Drive on a plot of land that faces the water.

Some people are raising concerns about a planned 100 plus unit condo for that site.

While some locals want to keep the charm of Ocean Springs alive, others question the side effects of gate keeping the community.
