Ocean Springs recognized by Southern Living as top beach getaway in the south
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- Ocean Springs is getting some more national recognition this week.
The city has been named one of the top 20 beach getaways in the south, coming in at number 19 in the 60th anniversary edition of Southern Living magazine.
The magazine highlights the city’s vibrant downtown, strong arts scene, and small-town charm, along with its walkable streets, locally owned shops, and restaurants, and heavy list of festivals as well.
Ocean Springs Main Street officials say the recognition comes as tourism in the city continues to grow.
