Ocean Springs QB Bray Hubbard receives 6A Mr. Football award

Ocean Springs Quarterback Bray Hubbard received the 6A Mr. Football Award today.

This evening, the Mississippi High School Activities Association, in conjunction with the New Orleans Saints and the Mississippi Association of Coaches, presented Hubbard with his Mr. Football jersey at the Ocean Springs High School board meeting.

Certainly a well-deserved honor for the dual-threat quarterback who led his Greyhounds to an overall mark of 11-1 and their first playoff win in seven years all while accounting for more than 3,300 total yards and 52 touchdowns, 30 passing, 22 rushing.

Hubbard said, “Really, it’s like, man, I really have potential to go and play at the next level and I can see myself in the future either playing football or baseball. And it’s just cool because the guys that I’m watching on TV that are the guys that have won this award before, so it’s pretty cool. It makes me proud. I couldn’t do it without any of the guys on my team and all of my coaches.”

Currently, a Southern Miss baseball commit, Hubbard says either college baseball or just football or both are all legitimate possibilities heading into his junior season on the diamond.
