Ocean Springs QB Bray Hubbard offered by Alabama

When high profile high school football recruits from the state of Mississippi start pulling in big time Division I offers, Ole Miss and Mississippi State are usually the first SEC schools to come calling.

Not the case for Ocean Springs Quarterback Bray Hubbard.

Today, the rising senior adding the University of Alabama to his bag, fresh off winning Mr. Football for Class 6A as a junior.

Currently committed to Southern Miss for baseball, Hubbard still has plenty of options on the table for both sports, now sitting on nine D1 football offers including USM, Nicholls State, Georgia State, Troy, ULM, Navy, Florida Atlantic, and Tulane.

In 2021, Hubbard led the Greyhounds to an overall mark of 11-1 and their first playoff win in seven years, all while accounting for more than 3,300 total yards and 52 touchdowns, 30 passing, and 22 rushing.

The former News 25 Student Athlete of the Week also cranked off eight home runs on the diamond this season.
