Ocean Springs promotes Heath to deputy fire chief

Ocean Springs named a new deputy fire chief today.

Ryan Heath succeeds long-time Deputy Chief Ray West, who retired.

Heath comes to the job with 16 years of experience as a firefighter.

“Fire service is rooted deep in my veins,” Heath said. “I am proud to continue to serve the community that started my fire career.”

Heath’s promotion is effective immediately.
