Ocean Springs Police Department recognizes two members

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- The Ocean Springs Police Department is recognizing two members of their force.

Both are receiving recognition for work done in the first quarter of 2026.

First up is Lt. Wanhala, the department saying he has demonstrated leadership, initiative and commitment to the department’s mission.

The Civilian of the Quarter goes to dispatcher Ortiz. Ortiz has shown outstanding performance in communications, remaining calm under pressure while providing support to both officers and community.
