Ocean Springs native Avery Weed makes the cut for final round of Augusta National Women’s Amateur!

From Ocean Springs high school to Augusta, Georgia! Mississippi State women’s golfer Avery Weed is making a name for herself on one of the biggest stages in golf. The Ocean Springs alum is back as the Augusta National Women’s Amateur tournament for the second year in a row and she shot her second under-par round earlier today. She’s currently 6 under and tied for fourth which means she has made the cut for the final round of action on Saturday.
We’ve interviewed her several times here at WXXV and we couldn’t me proud watching her answer questions on the Golf Channel after her round. Way to go Avery, and we’ll be cheering you on this Saturday!
