Ocean Springs man sentenced for sexually abusing child

An Ocean Springs man pled guilty today to sexual battery involving a victim who was 12-years-old.
Thirty-seven year-old Paul Unger pled guilty to three counts of sexual battery and one count of touching a child for lustful purposes. He was sentenced to 25 years on each count with ten years to serve day for day on all counts. Unger was fined $3,000 and ordered to register as a sex offender.
With his plea, prosecutors dropped an additional charge of touching a child for lustful purposes. In court, Unger admitted he engaged in a sexual relationship with the girl from June 2013 to February 2014.
