Ocean Springs man pleads guilty to DUI
An Ocean Springs man pleads guilty to a DUI that caused another man’s death earlier this week.
Sixty-year-old Jimmie Martin crashed into 64-year-old Gary Yarberry’s motorcycle in front of the Treasure Bay Casino.
Responding officers said they found an open beer in Martin’s car and smelled alcohol on his breath.
He failed a sobriety test with a blood alcohol level of 0.12 percent. The legal limit is 0.08. Martin was sentenced to serve 20 years with the Mississippi Department of the Corrections.
