Ocean Springs Lions Club discusses gun issues
Ocean Springs residents met today to discuss an important topic in today’s society.
The Ocean Springs Lions Club held its monthly meeting at Aunt Jenny’s Catfish where they discussed the second amendment and issues like proposed red flag gun laws and gun violence.
Speakers from the Jackson County Republican Club spoke at the meeting, but people of all political persuasions were invited to participate in the discussions.
Ocean Springs Mayor and Lions Club Member Shea Dobson says it is important to have constructive conversations about the second amendment. “This is nonpartisan. It’s just an open dialogue about the best way to handle these types of issues.”
The Lions Club holds meetings on the second and fourth Thursday of each month to discuss community and national issues. Meetings are held at noon at Aunt Jenny’s for those interested.
