UPDATE: Ocean Springs investigating fatal pedestrian accident

Ocean Springs Police are investigating a pedestrian vehicle accident on Highway 90 on Tuesday night that left a woman dead.

Jackson County Coroner Bruce Lynd Jr. identified the victim as 49-year-old Julie Trosclair of Ocean Springs.

Trosclair was walking westbound along Highway 90 near Carolyn Road about 8:15 p.m. when she was struck. According to a press release from Ocean Springs, two drivers involved in the accident stopped and gave statements to police.

First responders tried to render aid to Trosclair, but she died at the scene.

Ocean Springs is investigating the incident. No foul play is suspected.
