Ocean Springs Imaging Clinic Offers Discounted Mammograms

Thursday, the Ocean Springs Garden Club planted pink flowers in the shape of a breast cancer ribbon outside of the Ocean Springs Imaging Clinic.

The clinic is offering discounted mammograms this month and next in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Garden Club and doctors hope women will be reminded of breast cancer awareness each time they drive past the pink flowers. Dr. Elizabeth Park says mammograms have saved countless women by detecting early signs of breast cancer.

Dr. Park says, “We see almost every day, we’ll see something that we wouldn’t have found otherwise if that woman had not come in and got a screening mammogram, and that’s really gratifying to me when we find something that could have been undetected for years.”
