Ocean Springs hosts sock-hop street party

Thousands of car enthusiasts took over the downtown arts and entertainment area in Ocean Springs for some family fun Cruisin’ the Coast action.

The Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce – Main Street Tourism Bureau held a sock hop-themed street party featuring hundreds of classic rides, live music, and quality time spent with family and friends.

If cars weren’t parading down the streets, they were aligned outside of local businesses for guests to view.

One cruiser says if you’re not at Cruisin’ the Coast, you’re missing out.

“If you’re not here, you’re in the wrong place, because everybody is here that’s in Mississippi, and everybody is showing off their hard work, their cars their trucks, and the friendships,” said Eric Lambert. “They’re here because we’ve been doing this for a long very long time and we enjoy it.”
