Ocean Springs High School names broadcast studio in honor of beloved teacher
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- The Ocean Springs School District has recognized a beloved educator by dedicating Ocean Springs High School’s broadcast studio in his honor.
Kennon Barton’s family joined school district leaders for that dedication ceremony.
Barton died in a crash in 2023, but his legacy continues to be honored by students, faculty, and school district leaders.
The studio serves as a space for students to learn the ropes of broadcasting, with Barton’s name now prominently displayed throughout the facility.
