The students of Ocean Springs High School got to experience a special concert Monday night. The musical duo, Kalin and Myles, performed for the winners of a radio station contest. Screams from teenage girls filled the halls of Ocean Springs High Monday.

Kalin and Myles, who sing Trampoline, were on campus to perform for the winners of a local radio contest. 95.3 The Gorilla held a Last School Standing contest where all of the schools in the Gulf Coast area voted for Kalin and Myles to come to their school. Ocean Springs High was the Last School Standing. One Ocean Springs High student says, "She made me vote every single day for this contest. E-mails, texts, everything, family members, people in Pennsylvania were voting for us."

Billy Sexauer, a DJ for 95.3 The Gorilla, says, "We were actually the first radio station in the country to play the song Trampoline, so we worked out the logistics and everything and it just so happened that they could do a stop on their tour for here."

Native to California, both Kalin and Myles had never been to Mississippi. The duo met four years ago at a high school house party. Shortly after meeting, they started making music together in Myles’ bedroom. Social media then sparked their popularity. Myles says, "I was just like making beats in my room and I just had a microphone from Guitar Center that I got and he came over and we put out a song like that weekend and got a cool response and just thought, ‘Yo, we should keep making more music.’”

The duo writes and produces its own music. Kalin is the vocals behind the group and Myles does the rapping. For the students of Ocean Springs High, this will be a day they won’t soon forget.
