Ocean Springs hands d’Iberville their first loss with a 42-21 final score.
Warrior Stadium was the place to be for Week Seven of high school football on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Many called it the battle for the coast as the undefeated d’Iberville Warriors host the 5-1 Ocean Springs Greyhounds.
The Greyhounds strike first with a 44 yard touchdown pass from Chalmers Berglind to Sharroid Whitehead. The Warriors scored on their first possession as well with a 15 yard rushing touchdown from Jordan Walley. Both defenses force turnovers in the first quarter. On the first play of the second quarter the Greyhounds take back the lead 14-7 thanks to a 5 yard touchdown from Soloman Baggett. Walley answered immediately with a 55 yard rushing house call tying things back up.
This would be the theme all night long as the Warriors trail by only one touchdown after three quarters complete 28-21. The Greyhounds came alive in the fourth quarter holding d’Iberville to 21 and scored two more insurance touchdowns, making it a final score of 42-21. Ocean Springs hands d’Iberville their first loss of the 2025 season. Both teams now have an overall record of 6-1.
Ocean Springs’s Soloman Baggett scored four touchdowns tonight for the Greyhounds. Jordan Walley led the Warriors with 200 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
