Ocean Springs Fire Department meets with students
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- The Ocean Springs Fire Department recently welcomed a few students from Taconi and the YMCA to station one.
The students were able to tour station one, getting an up-close look at the trucks and equipment.
Students also had the chance to meet some of the firefighters who serve the community.
Those firefighters spending time talking about fire safety and what to do in an emergency.
The fire department says they love opportunities like this to connect with the youngest members of the community and help them learn that firefighters are around to help, protect, and serve.
