Ocean Springs Fire Department launches community program to spread safety awareness

The Ocean Springs Fire Department announced the launch of a community program aimed at bolstering safety awareness.

The program also aims at building strong ties with residents and businesses.

The program is designed to employer residents and businesses to become ambassadors of safety within their neighborhoods.

Through an online portal, anyone can provide information to OSFD to assist more effectively during an emergency.

• Create an account with the Ocean Springs Fire Department – sign in and get started. It just takes an email, phone number and address in Ocean Springs.
• Enter the Info that matters the most – Enter the most valuable details that save lives in an emergency. For example, number of pets, your needs, number of people in the home.
• Help OSFD When Seconds Count – Keep OSFD updated as to what they will need to know when first responders are called to your home.
