Ocean Springs falls to Meridian to kick off 2026 season

The Ocean Springs Greyhounds kicked off the 2026 Football season by hosting the Meridian Wildcats under the Thursday night lights.

Meridian came off the bus with a purpose, going up 21-0 before Ocean Springs kicker Evan Ta kicked a 36-yard field goal to get the Greyhounds on the board.

Ocean Springs falls to Meridian in the season opener with a final score of 47-9. Quarterback Chalmers Berglind rushed in the lone Greyhound touchdown of the night.
