Ocean Springs Discover Christmas Parade

Christmas is still a few weeks away, but Ocean Springs celebrated a little bit early over the weekend.

It was an exciting day for many who had a chance to be a part of the first ever ‘Discover Christmas Parade’ in Ocean Springs. Floats of all sizes threw candy, beads, and other goodies out as they showed off their decorations and skills.

Even though it was the first year for the parade, the festivities did not slack. Parade captain Bob Delaney said, “Actually we were amazed. We had between 25 and 30 units and some of them showed up right before the parade started. Everyone had the Christmas theme. It looked very, very nice.”

Parade officials say they plan to bring the event back for many years to come.
