Ocean Springs DB committed to ULL

Ocean Springs defensive back Malcolm Magee landed on Louisiana-Lafayette on Sunday. He chose the Ragin’ Cajuns over the likes of UMass, Toledo, Colorado State, ULM, FAU, UTSA, Utah State, Southeastern Louisiana, Nicholls State, Central Arkansas, Alcorn State, Jackson State, and Troy.
Magee ended his high school career with a first quarter interception in the Bernard Blackwell All-Star Classic just a couple weeks before receiving his ULL offer.
It didn’t take very long for Cajun country to feel like home as Magee shuts down his recruitment for good. “The whole coaching staff was outside, and they were like yeah, we need you and we want you because you’re like a priority. And then my nickname for them is the future, so they told me that, so I was like you know what, I’m all in. And they just bull-rushed me, and everybody was like oh yeah! So like I fell in love with that. I guess it’s just seeing my mom smile. I made a commitment, it’s a smile I ain’t never seen before and it made me happy so I’m sticking with it.”
Like Dillard, Magee says he’ll be putting pen to paper with his new home on national signing day which is slated for February 7th.
