Ocean Springs couple wins ‘Country Roads’ Best Small Town Chefs
Living and working in a small town doesn’t mean you have to think small.
Thinking outside the box grabbed the attention of regional magazine ‘Country Roads’ which named Stephanie and Michael Paoletti as ‘Best Small Town Chefs.’
The couple, who owns ‘Food, Booze, and Hiccups,’ catering business, returned to Michael’s hometown of Ocean Springs a few years ago and decided to try something outside the box, dinner on the lot, which features a unique, locally sourced menu on a vacant lot on Government Street. “I completely cried. I looked at him and he looked at me and he said ‘are you crying right now?’ and I said, ‘heck yeah, I’m crying right now.’”
“When we opened, we wanted to showcase what the Coast provides and just do something different.”
The Paolettis cater, do private in-home dinners, business dinners, and pre-made dinners in addition to dinner on the lot.
