Ocean Springs community pep rally
Last year, the Ocean Springs community pep rally rained out. This year was all sunshine and a good time at Greyhound Stadium.
Students had the opportunity to put their favorite, or in this case not so favorite, teachers in the dunk tank. There was plenty of space walks, food, and great music from the Ocean Springs band for everyone to enjoy.
The fans packed the stadium as they were introduced to the varsity football team, the swimming team, and other fall athletic sports.
The pep rally is another way for the Ocean Springs community to come together and support athletics in the city. Ocean Springs High assistant Principal Justin Sutton said, “This is about the kids tonight, the students who make Friday night special and other sports and our school so special. It’s an easy way for our community to come out and support those students as they go on and represent our city and as Greyhounds and try to look the best they can on the athletic field.”
The Greyhounds will take on Gautier in their first home game of the football season on August 17th.
