Ocean Springs Christmas Tree Lighting
With a countdown and a flip of a switch, the Ocean Springs Christmas tree in Marshall Park was illuminated tonight.
The city turned out to hear Christmas carols and enjoy refreshments. The children were also able to take pictures with Santa Claus and even write letters to the North Pole. For many children, writing letters to Santa was what they looked forward to the most. Caleb Foote said, “I’m not going to write a Christmas list of what I want because I’ve already got one at home. I’m just asking what he’s doing and stuff.” Evan Gladney said, “A Nerf gun, a bike, a helmet, stuff like that.”
Tonight’s Christmas tree lighting lasted from 6 to 8.
