Ocean Springs Chamber honors community supporters

It’s a night of celebration for the Ocean Springs community.

Tonight, the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce Main Street Tourism Bureau hosted its annual banquet.

The event is to celebrate the accomplishments of the past year. During the event, community members and volunteers were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments and support of the city’s mission.

Awards include volunteer of the year, first responder of the year, just to name a few. Chamber Executive Director Cynthia Sutton said, “They make such an impact in the community. If it weren’t for them our community wouldn’t be as wonderful and have the character it has.”

Award recipient Lee Bond said, “It’s obviously a huge honor. I was not expecting this. I don’t know if I deserve this, but I’m just blessed to be able to work with a great group of doctors, everybody from our EBS to accounting facilities department. God put me with a great group of people and I’m fortunate to be the beneficiary of working with those folks.”
