Ocean Springs Chamber collecting gifts for State Hospital
OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WXXV)- The Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce is inviting everyone to share some holiday spirit through this years Gifts for Whitfield Holiday Drive.
The chamber is collecting a variety of items, from games, books, and blankets to craft kits and music, for the kids at the Mississippi State Hospital near Jackson.
Donations can be dropped off at the Ocean Springs Chamber Office and Visitors Center through December 11. Volunteers will then deliver the gifts to the hospital.
People have been donating to this cause for more than 30 years now, making this drive a long-standing tradition of community support and care on the Coast.
Organizers want to remind donors to avoid glass items or hygiene products when donating.
